Christmas Bird Count

Hey Everyone! Don't forget to take part in a fun and important tradition on Saturday, December the 14th!

The Christmas Bird Count is a long running example of citizens helping the scientific community and bird conservation efforts. Volunteers will take part in a count of birds in the region, this data will then be compiled with data from volunteer counts conducted across America in order to assess the health of bird populations. This info will be used to learn what species populations are growing, shrinking, or otherwise changing. All volunteers are welcome (regardless of skill level), and helping means contributing to a nationwide effort to conserve our birds!
