Free Screening of "Bird of Prey: The Story of the Rarest Eagle on Earth"

Please join us for a free screening of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's "Bird of Prey" (http://birdofpreymovie.com/) on Monday, February 24th at 7pm at the UGA Miller Learning Center Room 350. The documentary follows wildlife cinematographer, Neil Rettig's journey into the jungles of the Philippines to document the Great Philippine Eagle and tells the story of the species' dwindling population and the group of people striving to save it from extinction.

The screening will be followed by a discussion led by Dr. Richard Hall, an Assistant Professor in the Odum School of Ecology and Department of Infectious Diseases at UGA. His research interests focus on how migratory species and their parasites respond to environmental change. Richard has a lifelong fascination with birds, and serves on the board of the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society.

The event is sponsored by Speak Out for Species with co-sponsors Sustainable UGA and the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society as part of the Animal Voices Film Festival.
